• Milena Zlatarova – viola
• Ivan Lalev – violoncello
Delight in the sophisticated Viennese atmosphere with performances of Mozart’s String Quartet No. 18 and Beethoven’s Quartet No. 5, which marks the 250th anniversary of the composer’s birth this year. It is worth noting that Mozart’s Quartet No. 18 was dedicated to another big Viennese name – Joseph Haydn, who is the father of the string quartet.
The concert program concludes with a musical portrait of a young man in love, depicted by the young Dvořák. The set of pieces for string quartet is an arrangement of the song cycle “Cypresses” which will be performed for the first time in its entirety in Bulgaria. The Czech composer’s enchanting work was inspired by the poetry of Gustav Pfleger-Moravský.
