The title of the concert is inspired by W. A. Mozart’s work “Serenata notturna” which will be performed alongside works by composers Edvard Grieg, Marin Goleminov and Rumen Boyadzhiev Jr. This repertoire paints a wonderful musical picture, naturally complemented by the beautiful lakeside sunset.
The main theme of the festival – premiere performances – continues with the young ensemble’s world premiere of Chamber Symphony, written especially for Drop Down Community by the talented Bulgarian composer Rumen Boyadzhiev Jr.
“There can be no boundaries in art as long as you approach it with love and honesty.” This is the philosophy of Drop Down Community – the youngest Bulgarian chamber orchestra. This may sound like a bold statement, coming from such a youthful group, but if you were to attend their performance, you would experience the convincing way in which they represent classical music from their unique perspective.
Each member of the ensemble has a number of achievements, either as an individual performer, or as part of prestigious symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles. Each member is curious about expanding their creative horizons and they all love contemporary music. Talented and provocative – the thirteen young musicians perform together as a chamber orchestra – Drop Down Community.
